Informe Reflexivo sobre la Presentación

In general, presenting in Spanish wasn’t really different for me than presenting in English. The presentation procedure stays mainly the same whereas the language abilities were much lower in my case while presenting in Spanish. I still do not have a very great Spanish vocabulary, which made it much more difficult for me to find the right words. But I think I was able to speak fluently, although I got stuck sometimes for a short moment. I did not extensively prepare myself beforehand in the words and vocabulary I might use during the presentation. I was surprised that I quickly found the right words, which were the suitable ones in order for me to express my thoughts. The feedback, which I received, matched my own experience to a great extent. I felt comfortable while presenting, while I could have done some things in a more sophisticated way. However, I think I discovered the need to extend my Spanish vocabulary, learn more grammatical forms, especially various tenses, and get myself prepared to use them.


I would like to improve a great variety of areas. These are namely the very sophisticated use of the Spanish language, which still is a struggle for me, although I understood mainly everything we talked about during the entire course. In the future I will try to get myself involved into Spanish conversations while not being shy about the words I use because everyone has to start at a certain point, although one might still not be able to speak properly. You only achieve your language ability goals by keep on talking regardless of how stupid some situations might be in which you still cannot express yourself properly.

From this presentation I learned that one has to be well prepared in order to express the presentation’s content in a proper way. Additionally, I learned that presenting in language, which is new to you, does not necessarily imply a struggle. You only need to tell the message somehow. In the future, I will take care of an adequate layout and coherent use of language throughout the presentation’s slides and the spoken part of the presentation.
